Clicking the Pupils link on the navigation bar at the top of the screen takes you to the Pupil Learning Space. This site has been developed specifically for pupils, and encourages self-directed learning as well as enabling you to share lessons with your students. This article gives a brief overview of the new features - for more information, please see the dedicated help section in the Pupil Learning Space.

This article will also guide you through giving your students access to the Pupil Learning Space.

Site Overview

1) The Home Page

15

The main feature of the home page is the My Workbook section. Here, pupils can choose a Workbook, containing a set of tutorial videos and directed lessons that they can work through in their own time. These Workbooks are designed to support students outside of regular face-to-face teaching, and are intended to allow pupils to further explore their instrument.

The home page also contains links to other resources specific to the student's instrument, as well as the relevant ABRSM Music Medals practice module and details of Groups & Events in the local area.

2) From My Teacher

23

As you are logged in a teacher you will be unable to view this section. It contains any lessons or resource packs that the pupil's teachers have shared with them. You can find out more about sharing specific lessons with your students here.

3) Resources

32

This section contains a variety of resources for students to explore outside of their regular lessons. These resources are designed to inspire students and allow them to broaden their musical horizons outside of their own instrument, and contain videos, audio clips, interactive scores, games and puzzles.

4) Parents & Carers / Help

43

These sections are intended to provide support for students and their parents & carers, enabling them to get the most from the site. The Parents & Carers section contains articles on good practice & motivation techniques, while the Help section primarily deals with technical support and tutorials.

Giving your Pupils Access

16

In order to simplify the process of signing pupils up to the Pupil Learning Space you can print out this welcome letter and give it to your students. The letter contains instructions on where to go and how to sign up, and includes the Teacher Code that pupils will need in order to sign in.

If you wish to share individual lessons with your students once they have signed up to the Pupil Learning Space please see this article.
